Trampolining is generally a type of gymnastics, however instead of doing a routine on mats on the ground you do it on a trampoline. A trampoline is a device which typically consists of a metal body and a taut piece of fabric stretched over the frame, and connected to the frame usually by coiled springs.

Unlike regular tumbling, in trampolining the gymnast must begin and finish in the identical spot. The routines can include simple jumps to more complex combinations of forward or backward somersaults and twists. It is now considered to be an Olympic sport and was first launched as such at the Olympic Games at Sydney in the year 2000. The point system of gymnastic trampolining is based on the level of difficulty of the jump being performed.

Trampolining is not just for skilled gymnasts though. It is a fun sport for anybody, and is appropriate for both children and adults. It is now catching on among growing older adults who find it to be an enjoyable, secure, low-impact, all-physique exercise that delivers good cardio and improved core energy, agility and balance.

Trampolining is both enjoyable and healthy. It’s a low impact, low stress exercise for the body. There is very little strain to the joints because the trampoline mat absorbs most of the impact. It exercises your muscular tissues while protecting the joints, improves circulation and improves total fitness. Trampolining also benefits the lymphatic system. The lymph offers nutrients to every cell and rids the human body of various wastes.
